StraughanConsulting Ltd
Serving business clients throughout Yorkshire, the North East and further afield, StraughanConsulting Ltd provides executive coaching, management coaching and employee coaching. It also provides management consultancy services in corporate communications strategy and CSR strategy.
The business is run by Mervin Straughan who has held senior communications roles with steel giant Corus, energy provider Yorkshire Electricity and a not-for-profit corporate social responsibility organisation as well as middle management roles with telecommunications operator BT. He began his career as an evening newspaper journalist.
Mervin was one of the first life coaches to qualify under the national occupational standards in coaching and is a member of the Association for Coaching. He has provided corporate coaching, executive coaching and employee coaching to professionals from organisations within the private, public and voluntary sectors in Bradford, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Leeds, Sheffield and York and the North East. He holds an MA in marketing management and post-graduate diplomas in marketing and public relations.

Mervin works with associates including some of key names in international change management and leadership development.

In 2007, Mervin founded the CSR Consortium, a network of management consultancies and communications agencies advising companies on the sustainability agenda.
In 2009, he launched Mygoalsbuddy.com, a blog featuring contributed advice and top tips from some of the biggest names in personal development on both sides of the Atlantic and a place where readers can publicly declare their goals.
